FALL!!! Gotta Love it!

It's fall, the herald of the Christmas season. The season of pies and crisp cool mornings! And the FABRICS!! Oh, goodness, see where our attention always goes?! Check out some of our fall ideas. Check back often because we have a new fabric line coming VERY soon. We are branching out into polar fleece, a warm boutique alternative and we are introducing sets and dresses made with Studio Tantrum patterns, like the Anna Wrap Dress, shown in fall colors. Jori has been working supremely hard on the BEST deco jeans. Trim, beads and flare, the girls all have their own set and we will post a picture ASAP! In the mean time, please take a peek at the batik deco set we made for our dear Allie OOP. Sorry, ladies, that one is already in happy hands!

County Fair and the Cotton Extravaganza

We had a wonderful time at the Cotton Extravaganza this year! We had four girls entered, each in two groups...active wear and party time. We took home nice awards for our work and lots of compliments. The girls enjoyed modeling and the fun of a "fashion show".

Our Roosevelt County Fair is going on and we have had NUMEROUS wins with our sewing. We'll try to get some pictures up but if it weren't for us, the sewing booth would be half empty. We each brought in about 20 items! And most of them ribboned!

We also ventured into the Fancy Cake contest. Very stiff competition from a group of senior ladies that have been dominating this event for years. We took a third and there might be some mutterings amongst the established fair goers! I mean really, who are these upstarts? They haven't even hit 50 yet! Seriously, every time we brought an item in to enter it, we were met with enthusiasm. Some of the arts of sewing and baking are dying and the older ladies are very excited to see us happily delving into the classics.

Our ducks did quite well and we are happy to say that our pair of Rouen ducks took Best WaterFowl and Reserve WaterFowl! GO TEAM!!!

We are very close to starting our fabric sales. We have almost everything lined up, but we want to do this right, so please forgive us if it takes a little bit longer. We are looking at some Free Spirit fabrics by Valorie Wells. We'll keep ya posted!

So loved by God....

Our dear Katie, our four year old Frog Princess passed away to Heaven this past Sunday, at her home in Clovis. She was surrounded by her family and their love.
We met Katie's family at Trade Days where we were able to be Dress Angels and provide Katie with the dress of her dreams.
We cannot know why Katie had such a short life. Our only thought is that she is so loved by God, He couldn't bear another moment without her. So, little Beloved, we will miss you and love you always.
To your family, may they know peace and have faith that you have a cherished spot in Heaven.

Our Summer Lines!!!

We want to show off those summer lines we've been talking about!

First is our VBS or Vacation Bible School line. This is a line of appliqued t-shirts and matching capris and skirts. All have a Christian theme and are in some of the hottest colors and fabrics of the season. We are making a bunch of shirts, but never hesitate to request a custom design, color or set!

Second is our new line of boy board shorts. These are made in fun and funky prints with an adjustable elastic waist. We have also made an assortment of matching appliqued and embroidered shirts. Once again, let us know if you are looking for something special!

And last, our Patriotic colors!! This is the only one we have pictured, but there are more to come is a variety of patterns and styles. All have individual flair!

We love to sew....let us know!

Be the Change...

There is the quote, "Be the Change you want to see in the world." A profound statement, but how do you act on it? How do you make the changes, one step at a time?
Jori and I were at the Curry County Trade Days. We had our booth up and were talking to people. We have a knack for getting people to open up. A grandmother comes in and talks to us a bit and mentions that her granddaughter, Katie (4), is dying. She has terminal cancer, a very rare form of it. There is no hope. We are both brought to tears and said we would pray for Katie and the family. Her grnadmother then went and looked at our clothes. She spotted our Frog Princess dress and started to cry. Katie calls herself "Princess Froggie". They loved the dress, but looked at the price and couldn't do it that day.
Now that dress was complex and I loved it, but no matter how many craft fairs we went to, no matter how many people professed to loving it, it never ever sold or came close. There must have been a reason.
Jori and I share a brain and it made easier to make the split second decision. We pulled the dress from the hanger and bagged it and told them to take it. They all started crying. We started crying. We told them that they should give it to Katie and tell her she is loved. Katie's kidney's no longer function and she is on a constant morphine drip for the pain. She is in and out of conscience, but her grandmother thought this would make her happy. We can't be sure, but there is a chance that this is the last dress she will wear, this side of heaven.
It was an incredible moment. We reached out and touched a stranger and changed their life. We made the world better, but giving on little dress. It felt so good.
Katie, you are a lovely little Princess Froggie. Go forth and be unafraid and out of pain.
God Bless you.

Curry County Trade Days and VBS

We are started on a new adventure.

Curry County is opening it's Fair grounds for the first weekend of every month. The idea is to host a trade day, or a crafter's fair.

We have a booth for the May Trade Days and are looking forward to it!! We are getting out our racks and sorting through our goodies.

We have a new style of sundress for girls. It features a full coverage front that ties behind the neck. The skirt is what makes this dress stand out. The skirt is three tiers of patchwork. When you hold the dress up by the hems, it forms a perfect circle.

Also new and debuting at the Trade days are two new lines of clothing. The first are a very sweet set of Christan shirts, perfect for VBS (vacation Bible school). We have some matching skirts, but can make custom shorts, pants or capris. I will post those pictures as soon as I get some!

Our other new line features boy clothing. And boy oh boy did we go crazy.

We have super great board shorts in wonderful boy prints. We are talking, Air Force, sharks, motorcycles and more. These can be matched up with some stunning new shirts. Shirts have appliques and embroidery and are perfect for the little man in your life. There is nothing girly about this stuff! So, if you have a little boy who you want to get something special for....we have the ticket for you.

These items will debut at the Trade Days and will be available after the first weekend in May at our etsy store.

We will be doing fabrics very soon, I promise!

Come out to trade days and see us!

Ag Expo

Welcome to the Portales, New Mexico Ag Expo!
Admist the fun of modern tractors and farm equipment, dairy equipment, Forestry displays and some very fine silver jewelry....Let Her Be Little Boutique!
What a wonderful event this was. We enjoyed it so much. It started with a great venue at the fairgrounds and a wonderful crew of hospitality workers. We had help with set up, more yummy goodies than even we could eat up and more help with break down! Breakdown when so fast, Jori barely had time to grab the van and we were ready to load. Special thanks to Sharon at the Chamber of Commerce for being an incredible person to deal with and for treating us like royalty, thanks to Kevin from KSEL for letting us take over his regular booth space because of the better location. Thanks to Steve, Donna, Cathy and Bill in hospitality for the water, coffee, soda and donuts and for the incredible help. We look forward to attending this event again!
To all of the patrons of the Ag Expo, thank you, thank you, thank you! We received so many compliments on our designs, and ladies, that is such a gift for us. Especially since some of you came in just to look even though you have no children or grandchildren in the ages for our clothes.
To Gail and her quilting buddies....keep watching this spot to see the announcement of the start of our fabric sales!
In the future we are looking at:
Clovis Trade Days....TBA
Heritage Days...June
Peanut Valley Festival...October

Spring is in the Air!!

Spring is so in the air! You can tell, because aside from Jori and my urge to buy up every scrap of gorgeous spring fabric.....we have all had spring colds! Production is slow as we battle the coughs and sniffles of our nine kids! It doesn't get any better. We watch as one gets better and sure enough another falls! Luckily this is not at all llike last fall's pneumonia episode where we has five out of nine hospitalized!

But getting past all of this....we did have time to snag some beautiful fabrics.....great seersuckers, piques and a stunning yellow and blue combo that reminds me of Tuscany. I'll try and take some pictures of our current fabrics-they are that pretty. But enjoy these pictures of Spring gone past!

Boycotting Ebay

It may be old news to some, but ebay is changing it's fee structure and feedback policy. The fees are higher, the sellers have more restrictions, less searchability and have their funds held before release. Also buyers can now not receive negative feedback. I have left negative feedback once, because a buyer didn't pay. Ebay doesn't do much to resolve these issues and leaving a negative is about all I could do. Now that is gone.
We believe in great customer service and an outstanding product. But we don't believe that ebay is the only place to sell our great items. The week of February the 18th we will be boycotting ebay. Please check out our store at www.LetHerBeLittle.Etsy.com

As buyers, please know that you have many options:
winkelf
ecrater
onlineauction
ebid
buyitsellit
ePier
Bidville
ioffer

Just to name a few. Get friendly with them. Remember, lower fees for sellers means lower prices for buyers!

Its Discovery Channel's SHARK WEEK!! We're ready...are you?

Busy Busy Busy

This is a busy time of year for us! We are working on new Spring designs and checking out the new fabrics! Think bright melon colors and gorgeous combinations! We are doing a lot in peasant tops and jumper dresses, very verstatile!

Jori has gotten very ambitious with her newest Little Mermaid overalls...a must for the Disney-goer! I must say she is a genius with overalls. This design has a removeable skirt. So you can get two terrific looks out of one outfit!

I have been making Mickey Mouse related sets too! And think sundresses!! You can never have enough sundresses!!
